UX RESEARCH AND REPORTS.

As a UX Designer, the creation of personas is for the goal of focusing designs and layouts for the user. I have created multiple personas to understand who to design for. UX is about putting the user first and ensuring the designs please the user. High fidelity frames are moving into what the content will look like on a screen. With the research that is done after the personas are created, testing is done to ensure the first round of designs satisfy the target audience. These are examples of work that follow the design principle of putting the user first. 

User personas

The persona developed was for a writing assignment titled Chunk and Layer. This persona was created to link the writing assignment to a potential blog reader. I reviewed the objectives, frustrations, and added a bio. The bio includes a story that allows me to connect with the user on a personal level.

This is a structured document that displays the type of information to provide insight into who might be accessing the specific platform. The persona is created to serve as the focal point of the design and to connect it to the end user.

The persona is used to maintain constant contact with the end user to ensure that their needs are incorporated into the product being developed.

​

I comprehended and applied the persona's context to ensure they were centered within the design. Understanding their culture will help you avoid offending them.

To make the reader's life easier, I used a new software called Xtensio. For ease of distribution, the image is saved as a jpeg.

usability test 

analysis

This is a group project in where we developed usability testing content and analyze the results to create a presentation of recommendations.  Dutchbros.com was the website that was examined.


The usability test is used to assess the current site's effectiveness. Participants' "think out loud" comments were critical in developing the site's story prior to redesign. These comments allow me, as the designer, to understand what the user is thinking as they navigate the site and identify any frustrations and positives. The test objectives, along with the results and recommendations, were used to determine whether the site is successful. Based on the facts, we assessed why we need to change these issues.

We created a pre-test questionnaire, scenarios, and a post-test questionnaire as a group. We each evaluated two participants individually. Following the test, a technical report was written to examine the steps' operation. We repeated the methodology of the tests and the results in the study. The conclusion summarized the main findings of the usability test, covering both qualitative and quantitative data.

We generated visual representations of the pre/post tests as well as the findings. We evaluated the reasons why the consumer took that path and made recommendations. Before making new concept comps, we reviewed the results.

We analyzed as a team why the user went where they went and how to address it so that they are concentrating on the site and the content rather than where they are clicking. We examined the raw data from previous experiments.

Usability test

Purple.com was the website that was examined. I began by explaining the organization as well as the assignment's intent and objective. I defined the target group and used participants who were similar to them. I had three participants so that the findings could be properly analyzed.

Since the task was written for the company's upper management, I used formal language and made sure the text was easy to read.

​

The document is presented in a scannable format, with sans serif fonts and hyperlinks inside the document allowing the user to see what they want to read. I used color to highlight the breaks between ideas in the text.

This is the final draft of a paper I'm writing to persuade shareholders why we should redesign and how we should do it. I presented context details that I had researched as well as how I plan to complete the redesign. I have planned the website and social media.

This document is in pdf format for ease of delivery and viewing. This enables the reader to find what they are searching for. On the first page, I used hyperlinks to connect within the text. I used sans serif fonts consistently. The text has been chunked, lists have been inserted, and graphics have been included.

Usability test 

Dutchbros.com was the website used for the usability evaluation. When working in this group of three, I was the team leader, scheduling meetings and ensuring the team stayed on track and met deadlines.

Personas were developed to help focus user study. I identified the report's methodology as well as the responses from prospective users.

 

The personas were consistent with the findings of the user study. The paper breaks down the product's various specifications as well as who the target audience is. The paper explains why anyone would/should purchase the product. The document's layout is simple to read and search, making it easy for the reader to find what they're searching for inside the document.

 

For the survey, each team member performed two interviews. Based on the responses of the participants, user personas were developed. I was the team's project manager. Slack was used to build a study plan, and Google Docs was used to collaborate on writing initial ideas.

 

Then, after the group had agreed on proposals, it was edited. At the start, distinct positions were allocated, with me serving as team coordinator.

We wrote this assignment using a template pdf to keep the attention on the content. We used bright colors as headings to keep the reader's eye going, as well as a wide enough font for the reader. Slack was the primary tool for contact. We have used Google Docs to collaborate on a single text. A pdf file was developed to store the written document for easy download by other users. The professor and the team were the primary audience, but the paper needed to be available to a wide variety of people.
