Technical Writing.
As a technical communicator, I have achieved the ability to write clear and concise analysis of websites; write brief reports to higher ups; write clear instructions; construct a formal report; and write a content strategy for a presentation about a website redesign.
Website analysis
For poppinjoes.org, I created a website analysis. My aim was to review the website and, based on my observations, suggest a new design. During this task, I created user personas to better understand the intended audience and to express the design's rationale to potential users.

I took a theoretical approach to my strategy, learning how to order, control, limit, and present content and information to the consumer in the right place, at the right time, in relation to a larger strategy with goals and objectives. These aims and priorities were to construct a more streamlined interface in order to improve the company's profits.

During the analysis, I used the user's workflow to jumpstart the redesign idea and convey to the shareholder the value of a site overhaul. Rhetorical appeals, writing content, site navigation, page layout, and overall structure were all included in the review.
To center my redesign, I used my experience, understanding of the user's context, company goals, and the user's prior knowledge. I proposed improvements to the structure; layout; social media links; font and colors; and the logo.

This is the final draft of a paper I'm using to convince shareholders of the importance of updating the platform. I presented context information as well as specifics about how the redesign will be done. I also planned the website and social media material.
content strategy
I created a structured content plan for poppinjoes.org based on the website analysis. In this task, I used the same user personas as in the previous one. This was an in-depth examination of the site's key messages and intent. I used them to build a website and a social media strategy for the company's expansion. I used two competitors to learn about their content strategies and how to improve Poppin Joe's visibility.
The language chosen was less formal, and it was intended for each member of the team to use when creating content for the website and blog.
As I was looking at the sites of my competitors, I recommended reducing the use of bright color and increasing the use of functionality and white space. The emphasis should be on the material and the products for sale. In the text, I explained website management and how to reuse content on the site. I developed a style guide with language use to ensure that future content flows smoothly. The style guide words as a template.
The document contains in-text hyperlinks that enable shareholders to easily search through it. I was also clear with how both documents referred to one another. I made certain that the site's and the owner's personalities remained influential.
Brief report
The concise report serves as an explanation for a fictitious organization that is experiencing a potentially dangerous leak. In this task, I was able to provide the Director of Public Relations with pertinent details about the situation.

I defined the terminology that should be used in the study as competent and factual. The article is on one page to keep the audience's attention on the pertinent details being shared.

I used a step-by-step overview of the situation to remind the audience of the steps that have already been taken, and then I explained what will be done based on what has already been completed and how it will affect the business.

This is a short article demonstrating my ability to write a well-written and reflective response to a situation. This demonstrates my ability to connect in a professional environment. I kept the design simple so that the reader could concentrate on the details being shared.
formal report
This is a formal report on the evaluation of equipment. The product being examined is used to create design applications for high fidelity user interface wireframes. I'm playing the part of an employee who suggests equipment enhancements based on the latest technologies available and in use.
By using a formal and direct tone, I understood the vocabulary that should be used throughout the text. I walked the reader through my thought process and study of transitioning to a new platform for the company's designs; and how this will increase productivity and profits for the company.
The document is presented in an easy-to-read format, with sans serif fonts and hyperlinks inside the document to help the user find what they want to read.

I used color to draw attention to the document's idea breaks. I went through the criteria that were used to reach the conclusion.

On the first page, hyperlinks were used to connect within the text. The text has been chunked, lists have been inserted, and graphics have been included. It is designed to be scanned.
